The Peter Brunette Songbook

Illustrated Edition
Preview: The First Nineteen Songs
The songbook is a work in progress. The preview posted here contains nineteen of the forty-seven songs to be included. You’re welcome to read and/or download the preview in the PDF viewer below.

You’re also welcome to print out any or all of the songs. I don’t recommend printing the whole preview, however, since I expect to complete the songbook by the spring or summer of 2025 and post the final version (which may incorporate minor revisions to some of the songs in the preview) here as a free download. At that time, also, you’ll have a couple of other options. First, hard copies of the Illustrated Edition, professionally printed and bound, will be available for the cost of production and postage. Second, a plain edition, containing lead sheets only and more suitable for home printing, will be available as a free PDF.

If you’d like to pre-order a print copy of the songbook, please contact me using the email link at the bottom of the page.
NOTE
  • An updated version of this preview, with a raft of corrections and revisions, was posted the morning of March 4th, 2025. If you downloaded the document before that time, please discard it and use the current version instead.
A FEW TIPS ON USING THE PDF VIEWER
  • If you’d prefer to view the document as a two-page spread, select Even Spreads from the drop-down menu under in the viewer toolbar.
  • To adjust the viewer’s height in your browser window, click outside the viewer and zoom in or out (in Windows and Linux, press Control and + or -; on a Mac, press Command and + or -).
  • To adjust the document’s size in the viewer, click inside the viewer and zoom in or out (as above).
  • I don’t recommend using the expand button in the viewer’s toolbar, which is a bit error prone; use your browser’s full-screen option instead.
