NOTE. At close to nine minutes, even without the addition of any instrumental sections, “History Lessons” is a tad long to be performed at one go. That’s because it’s meant to be the set piece of my projected folk opera, Das Kapital: The Musical, with each of the song’s three parts performed in a separate act.
